Firstly lets look at what you need:- OK I am assuming that as you are reading this on the net so you have a computer with an internet connection, that's two of the basic requirements covered.
Next you will need a "host" for your website or blog pages, so that you can have an online presence to advertise or SHOUT about your affiliate product(s).
These can be obtained for free from several companies but free hosting for websites or blogs will have limitations on them, paid hosting will have many more options and more flexibility, but of course will have a monthly charge.
You will also need a domain name for your web address, this usually has to be purchased or registered from a registrar such as GoDaddy or Google, there will be an annual fee for this.
If you are serious about working online from home in affiliate marketing you will also need an auto responder to manage your emails to any prospects that sign in to your website or blog, to thank them for visiting, let them know about further products that may interest them etc.. Again a monthly fee will be applicable in most cases, search for companies such as aWeber who supply this service.
Once you have everything in place you will need to know about search engine optimization and driving traffic or potential customers to your site.
There is a lot for the novice to learn but with patience and attention to detail it is possible to earn a living whilst working online from home as an affiliate marketer.
