1. Weekly coaching calls.
Network marketing is a tough business for anyone to be successful in. I believe the #1 reason that most people fail is they do not take their business seriously enough. Why? Probably because they simply have never been taught what that means, and never fully realized the amount of responsibility it truly takes to win in this industry.
Just like in any traditional business, one needs to track results. Not only that, but one needs the daily habits and accountability in place. For example, if you owned a convenience store, you would need to track inventory, daily sales, weekly sales, profit margins, expenses, and keep a daily, quarterly, and yearly record of it. To add to that, you need to do it every single day, without fail, or your business would suffer.
Well, it's the exact same thing with a home based business. You are the owner. And to be successful in network marketing you must also track results on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis. Most importantly, you need to hold yourself accountable for your results.
So what is it, exactly, we are tracking? Now, just like in a traditional business, it all obviously boils down to profit. And it's what happens on a daily basis that ultimately determines what our profit will be. So the question is, is what do we measure on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis, and force ourselves to be accountable for, that eventually decides our long-term success in the home based business industry? And this is what the majority of people to get into network marketing does not take seriously or have never been taught from the very beginning.
I want to share with you the "9 key elements" all network marketers must track, and hold themselves accountable for, on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis, so they too can begin to take their new business seriously, and truly begin to see success probably for the first time ever.
And I can promise you that if you begin to track these key elements, you will soon be able to recognize exactly what is holding you from success, and finally acknowledge the fact that you, and only you, is responsible for your fate in network marketing.
I'll give you the elements first and then show you how to use them.
2. Personal Development.
3. # of dials.
4. # of messages.
5. # of live conversations.
6. # of presentations.
7. # of 3-way calls.
8. # of decisions collected.
9. # of new reps or customers. (note: # 3 &4 can be interchanged with # of new people met, if you do not like to call people)
What you want to do is make a weekly table with the 9 key elements horizontally, and the days Monday - Sunday vertically. Then you simply put a mark for the number of each you did for the day. (note: for #2 personal developments, just give yourself a check mark for the day if you did a something to help you mentally for that day. i.e... read a book, listened to a training CD, etc.) Secondly, keep a weekly tally. It is the weekly tally you must absolutely know, so you can keep improving from week to week. Lastly, I advise that you do this is 3 month cycles.
To sum it up, Success in network marketing comes from taking your business seriously. That means you must OWN IT. The best way to that is to #1 track and measure your efforts using these 9 key elements, and most importantly, forcing yourself to be accountable on a daily basis.
