So what is affiliate marketing... it's simple; it's an opportunity for people like you and me to be able to promote a product for a company or for someone that has created a product and get paid for driving traffic and sales for the company or product.
Now the commission structure on some of the offers differ greatly from 3%+, now the key is to find a product that truly has value, one that you can trust and believe in, as well as that product paying you a decent commission for your work and effort.
What's a decent commission?
That's all up to you... what do you feel your time is worth? Because here's the thing... you'll be using the time you have available to advertise for that specific product. What do you feel you're worth... 3%, 50%, or how about 100% commission?

1. You will need a website or blog of your own to promote the product or service. This not only allows you to have a platform to promote, but it also allows you to brand yourself, which is very important if you want to have longevity in marketing this way.
2. You will then need to learn how to drive traffic to that website to have enough people see the offer. Driving traffic to your offer can consist of many different aspects, it truly depends on what kind of person you are. Based on your personality, you can choose to use videos to promote, or article marketing, maybe even social media. It's up to you. My advice is to pick one and master it before moving on to the next one.
3. Capture those visitors onto and auto-responder so that you are able to follow up with them. Essentially most people have to see an offer several times before they are able to make a decision to purchase, so capturing their information is vital to having a business that thrives online, you want to be able to follow up regularly.
4. Then you convert those visitors into buyers and do the same thing over and over again. After you've captured your visitors information, now it's time to deliver compelling emails to show the value of what you have to offer and bring them to make a decision, ultimately to buy
