There are many ways to succeed in life, and even more ways to "fail". Failure has frequently been described as the various learning experiences you need on your ultimate path to success. Napoleon Hill, author of "Think and Grow Rich" says to have a plan that will forward your purpose and then improve upon that plan daily as you execute it to achieve that goal - which he described as a "Burning Desire".

The point is that you have a purpose you are driving toward relentlessly - something that makes sense to you and aligns every thing you go through in life, something which helps you make life simpler and brings you peace.
People who sponsor into an MLM home business opportunity frequently don't feel that way. Mainly because the network marketing systems currently being used aren't educational enough. And they aren't tested against success. Frequently, they are "dumbed down" so that people just getting into network marketing can start off with a gradient approach. You see, most people who start out with this don't know how to market and they don't know how to run a business.
1. Network Marketing is a learning experience.
In learning how to make this work, to start earning real profits, you'll come across all sorts of information. It's up to you to make it work. You have to keep your eye on the goal - which is learning how to make any system work by discovering the roots of what makes any and all of these opportunities succeed.
This will take you far past the point where you know marketing and business basics. And is beyond even becoming expert in these. Once running your MLM business becomes a sideline activity which is continually successful with little effort on your own part, then you have it made.
Between here and there is the journey - which brings you the most enjoyment of all. The end-point or goal of what you are trying to accomplish is just that - an end point. No more important than when you first stepped into this activity. It just gives you a focus point. It's all the learning and teaching you do in between which will give you the joy and peace you are looking for.
2. Knowledge and understanding are the coins you re-invest to build your wealth.
The people you want to deal with are those who want to improve their lives. They are looking for information about how they can acquire certain benefits for themselves and others around them. And this is all you offer them - how-to's and ways that they can accomplish or acquire some improvement they need.
People want holes - you tell them the way to get a great hole is to use a drill, and which drill is best for that job.
Take apart that phrase and you see that you are just dealing in information. You offer solutions to people's problems - which are nothing more than pieces of information they have been missing.
3. Relationships are more valuable than money.
Money is only a symbol of what value you give to others. Philosophers down the ages have confirmed this. But note that money only comes to you after you have given something valuable away. Of course, you can see the Golden Rule in this as well. When you find out what benefit people are seeking in their lives, then you are able to then start delivering this in volume. And of course, in order to make people happy, you make it possible for them to give you money in exchange for all the valuable information you've just given them.
Because you've just enabled them to improve their lives far faster, better, and/or easier than whatever they were doing before.
But you have to know what they want and need, which means you need to build relationships with them. And in building these relationships, you will set up the continuing flow of valuable information out and income in. It is the trusted relationship which sets the base for all commerce. And you can't get paid for anything if people don't trust you, your product, or how you deliver it. So work on relationships first in order to earn any amount of money you personally want to show up in your life.
