3 Character Traits of Every Successful Network Marketing Professional

It's a fact that the ratio of people who really become successful in the network marketing business is a lot lower than what most people expect but this is because of two main elements. The first element is because they did not yet grasp the essence of network marketing and the second element is that they lack the three essential character traits that mark a successful network marketer.
Below are the essential character traits that you will find in most successful network marketers. You could be hard-working and diligent but without these traits you'll always hit a dead-end. They are the traits that will keep you going even when the road to success gets rough and muddy.
Trait #1: Persistence
So you've finally got a running lead generating page and you're building a good email list. Some of the leads you have generated turned up as distributors. You've hit your goal and suddenly took some time to relax. Unfortunately doing this leads to failure 80% of the time. Persistence is defined as the ability to keep going even when the reason to continue has faded. A lot of people fail in networking because they stop being consistent once they hit a certain goal or because they've completed the training material.
You can't just stop. Even when you've hit your goal, you need to keep going. You need to relentlessly continue with your marketing techniques. You just can't stop to follow-up on your leads even when they already gave the go-signal.
Trait #2: Consistency
You know the saying, "success is 99% sweat and 1% inspiration"? That's the very definition of consistency. You'll see a lot of failures before you see even the faintest glint of success. The first batch of leads you get will most likely turn down the offer to become distributors. Consumers may not come back a second or third time. You just have to wade through and keep going if you plan on hitting success. You need to consistently work through your routine, always update your lead generating pages, always follow-up with your leads, and always work on perfecting your sales pitch. No matter what happens, you cannot stop. Failure is only a sign that you need to look at your work and re-evaluate-it doesn't mean you have to quit.
Trait #3: Being Ambitious
When the person who hauled you into the network marketing business told you that you could earn enough benefits to have a free luxury car, you should aim for that goal. Don't just be satisfied with the minimal amount you earn for the initial six months. The moment you stop aiming for the next higher goal you'll get stuck, always just working for what you already have. Being ambitious will give you an incentive to work harder, to maintain consistency and persistence. Do not let yourself slump down and be happy with "adequate" because network marketing has a lot of doors of opportunity. You just need to work towards them.
Having an ambitious goal is also good in giving you a sense of direction. Without a definite goal, you'll be working without knowing whether you're doing enough or not, and that is a clear sign you're wasting time with network marketing.
