Adzan Isyak baru selesai berkumandang dari mikrophone tua masjid seberang jalan, sebentar lagi kewajiban akan tertunaikan oleh segelintir umat yang taat. Malam ini rombongan Kethoprak kami mendapatkan kesempatan menghibur penonton di halaman Balai desa seperti tahun-tahun kemarin. Tapi pagelaran tahun ini ada sesuatu yang mengganjal di hati kami, mulai dari banyaknya protes yang tidak setuju jika acara malam puncak seni di desa kami di isi dengan pagelaran kethoprak sampai kondisi kesehatan dari salah satu pemain andalan kami yang kian memburuk.

Bau asap rok*k murahan hasil sumbangan dari warga kami yang kasihan, bercampur dengan aroma bedak hasil patungan kami, mengiringi alunan suara gamelan yang di tabuh para niyogo kami membabar gendhing srepeg mataram terasa mendayu seperti menggambarkan suasana hati kami yang resah.

Pembaca, sebenarnya sudah lama saya ingin sekali menulis artikel ini. Namun karena kesibukan dan fokus saya yang lagi nggak “in” dengan topik ini maka saya menundanya. Di sekolah Lisa ada lomba basket antar kelas. Tapi 1 kelas dibagi dua, laki-laki dan perempuan. Lomba itu wajib diikuti.

Bakat vs Usaha

“Potensi yang tidak diledakkan akan tetap menjadi potensi saja, tidak akan terwujud sebagai kemampuan untuk melakukan tindakan.”

Saya sering mendapatkan keluhan dari mahasiswa maupun peserta training bahwa mereka merasa tidak berbakat memimpin. Dalam kesempatan lain mereka menyampaikan lagi bahwa mereka tidak berbakat seni, olah raga, menulis, dan sederetan alasan lainnya untuk menjustifikasi bahwa mereka tidak mampu melakukan hal tertentu karena mereka tidak berbakat. Kata “tidak berbakat” nampaknya menjadi kambing hitam yang paling mudah. “Jangan salahkan aku kalau aku tidak mampu melakukan hal tertentu karena aku tidak berbakat” demikian kurang lebih pesan yang terkandung dalam pernyataan mereka.

Namun pada saat saya tanyakan kepada yang merasa “tidak berbakat” mengenai sudah seberapa jauh mereka belajar, berlatih dan mencoba, mereka mulai mencari-cari alasan berikutnya. Beberapa hari kemudian, tepat hari libur sekolah. Ara diajak sang paman pergi ke Jakarta. Pada saat itu juga Ara berinisiatif untuk menemui ayahnya kembali. Kali ini ia datangi kediaman ayahnya. Dia Bisa, Mengapa Aku Tidak?

Kesunyian dipecah oleh suara desau daun-daun pepohonan tertiup angin yang datang dari arah laut. Hujan rintik-rintik mulai turun. Di kejauhan terdengar suara lolong anjing bersahut-sahutan. Malam itu adalah malam Jum'at Keliwon!

Di antara desau angin malam dan gemerisik suara daun-daun pepohonan yang sesekali dirobek oleh lengking lolongan anjing, dari arah timur Jepara terdengar gemeretak suara roda-roda kereta mengiringi derap kaki-kaki kuda yang menariknya.

DUA PENUNGGANG kuda itu berhenti di kaki bukit Wadaslintang yang merupakan bukit berbatu-batu hampir tanpa pepohonan. Suasana tampak gersang pada saat matahari hendak tenggelam itu. Kaki bukit dicekam kesunyian. Sesekali terdengar suara tiupan angin di kejauhan, bergaung di sela bebatuan.

Pendekar 212 Wiro Sableng mengangkat kepala memandang ke arah puncak bukit batu. Sinar sang surya yang hendak tenggelam membuat bukit batu itu seperti dibungkus warnA merah kekuningan. Batubatu bukit tampak seperti tumpukan emas. Satu pemandangan yang cukup indah sebenarnya.

No, this post isn’t about business cards, but will explain a technique that I always use on Facebook to build up my network fast… like handing out business cards on Facebook. You need to be consistent here!

Make it a habit of commenting on other network marketers’ wall posts – You can go on your news feed, and look at bunch of posts that other network marketers are posting. You can like AND comment their posts. This will help build rapport with your friends in your list as well as leaving your name on their posts. There’s always someone out there who will be curious to see what you are doing, and some will add you as a friend. This tip is so simple to do but most people are not consistent enough to make it effective.

Being consistent on commenting – This builds rapport without the necessity to private message the person and ask boring questions like “Hello, how’s business going for you?” or “how’s the weather?” because you don’t have anything else to say. To break the ice and build rapport, become a regular of interactions back and forth commenting on each other’s wall. While building up your network fast is great, you need to solidify the relationships. Rapport = trust = people will like to work with you

Get noticed by their friends – When people keep seeing your name pop up in comments, they too will begin to feel like they know you. So when those people add you, they already feel like you are a friend.

Repeat the commenting on your NEW FRIENDS’ wall posts as well – Now you are really building a network FAST. Remember, just quickly browse through your news feed to find some things interesting to like and comment. Ask your upline or someone else that is in the same business if there is one. Once you are in the group, you want to interact there by commenting and posting. You want to congratulate people and welcome new comers to the group. This will build rapport with people in the same business as you which can solidify the relationship to maybe sometime in the future be in new business venture together. By becoming friends with people in current business, this will also tap into being friends with their friends too on Facebook. When you have more and more mutual friends together with all these other people, this will make it a lot easier to have more people notice you and add you as a friend.

The Way of Elephant's thinking

When my friend was passing the elephants , he suddenly stopped , confused by the large creatures by a small rope tied to their front leg . Elephants are not a chain , also not in the stable . It's obvious elephant can escape anytime of the rope that binds the elephant. I have marketed on Facebook everyday including birthdays and vacations so you get the idea that I put a lot of time into becoming successful. Profile Picture – Put up a picture of you! It can be a picture of you by yourself or group of people, pets, etc. This makes you more approachable so people feel like they are networking with a HUMAN

Is your Facebook account personal or business? – If you talk about anything that has to do with online marketing, do your Facebook friends say “wow scammmmmm”, “is this a pyramid scheme?” , etc. If so, then you have a personal Facebook account most likely. My Facebook account has 100% marketers.

I like money. My personal Facebook account doesn’t make me money. It lets me see pictures of people getting married, babies, having fun on vacations, but they don’t make me money. I keep two accounts separate. These people are not interested in what we do. That’s just part of life.

Marketers do not want to see news, politics, etc. – There’s television and newspapers for those things. When I review Facebook profiles of people who are not doing well, I tend to see lots of quotes, news, Obama, jokes, games, and music videos. You’re here to make money!

5000 friends? – If you’re reading this section for help on getting sign ups for your business, then chances are, you don’t have 5000 good connections. I have gone through my Facebook friends’ list, and removed a lot of people who have abandoned their account (for example, stopped posting in year 2012) and also deleted people who just don’t sync up with me. Not everyone will have a connection with you. Just like in real life, not everyone will be your friend. Quality over quantity

Connect with people in the same business as you – whether your Facebook account is brand new or not, always add a bunch of people that are in the same business as you. I used to think this is counter-productive because those people can’t join the business I’m in since they are in already. These people are here to support you. When you post on your wall about the business, you will have some who will Like/Comment on your post with positive energy. This looks good to people who are NOT in the business you’re in currently, and posts that have Likes and Comments get noticed more on their Facebook news feed. Your post shows up more likely at the top of your friends’ news feed as well as the news feed of your friends’ friends that are not your friends, which means more traffic/leads for you, and ultimately, more friend requests to build up your list. Every business has Facebook group so type in the search field on Facebook with the name of the company, and you will usually find groups with that name. Interact with people in those groups with comments, likes, and basically congratulate/welcome people to make you more noticeable and approachable

Like and Comment – Click on your news feed tab (if you’re not sure where to find it, then just go to facebook.com because it will bring you to the front page to show you peoples’ posts also known as the News Feed), and start liking and commenting on things you find interesting. Some people will also start liking and commenting on your stuff too, and then you start to build a good friendship.. sort of like breaking the ice.
